I remember it was a lowkey Saturday in May of 2012 when this entire song just kind of came to me. I sat down at the piano, played through it, and it was done pretty quickly. Over the following years, I realized the words had been very prophetic of the process my wife and I were about to go through. Exactly a year later, I had a brain bleed that left me paralyzed from the chin down. The next decade was quite a spiritual journey. One day recently, we realized these lyrics had truly begun to play out in reality.
