3D Sketch : https://www.3dmechanism.com/post/3d-exercise-143 In this CAD tutorial we'll use the features: 1. Pad (Additive) The Pad command is the primary tool for creating a solid volume. Action: It takes a closed 2D sketch and extrudes (pushes or pulls) it in a straight line into the third dimension. Analogy: It is like pushing clay through an extruder or building a brick wall from a floor plan. Typical Use: Building the main base, body, or structural block of your part. Every solid model usually starts with a Pad. 2. Pocket (Subtractive) The Pocket command is the primary tool for removing material. Action: It uses a 2D sketch like a cookie cutter to carve a flat-bottomed shape straight down into an existing solid body. Analogy: It is like drilling into wood or using a stamp to punch out a shape from sheet metal. Typical Use: Cutting flat-bottomed holes, slots, custom cutouts, or internal cavities into a solid you have already created.
