I'm doing an animal behaviour project on courtship behaviours of Grey-Headed Flying Foxes.
I've noticed that a lot of foreplay happens in this species. This example is interesting because only one copulation attempt occurs and it appears successful as the male cleans himself and the female up afterwards and then moves away (gets shoo'd away, actually!).
I suspect that this couple have been paired for some time.
