"Agradecido estoy con mi grupo por tanta unidad en la ceremonia del nacimiento de Huitzilopochtli." Así escribió el Temachtiani Tlecoatzin Metztli después de una de las ceremonias más intensas del año. El fuego no es un símbolo aquí. Es una presencia real, el eje de todo lo que se hace. Esta dancita trabaja la energía del centro del cuerpo, lo que los mexicas llamaban el fuego interior. Lo que Meztli busca en sus guerreros : "Elasticidad, velocidad, fuerza y certeza." "I am grateful to my group for such unity in the ceremony of the birth of Huitzilopochtli." These are the words Temachtiani Tlecoatzin Metztli wrote after one of the most intense ceremonies of the year. Fire here is not a symbol. It is a real presence, the axis of everything. This dance works the energy at the center of the body, what the Mexica called the inner fire. What Meztli seeks in his warriors : "Elasticity, speed, strength and certainty."
