Fugue: One Sequence, Three Voices

Introducing Fugue, a new module from Signal Function Set for VCV Rack. Fugue is an 8-step harmonic deviation sequencer. Three independent voices (A, B, C) read the same pitch sequence, but each can wander harmonically on its own. The Wander control uses musically-informed probability tiers to choose chord tones, extensions, and chromatic neighbors. Harmonic Lock lets the voices negotiate consonance with each other in real time. In this video I walk through the module from the ground up: setting up a sequence, adding voices, exploring what Wander does at different settings, and building patches with polyrhythmic clocks and independent gate patterns.
