Videos, sample packs, stems & more: https://www.patreon.com/winslowxyz Full tune: https://www.patreon.com/posts/winslow-school-141214194?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link In this video we'll go over how I mastered "School Night", this month's addition to the Archives project. It's all in real-time so you can see and hear my process, understand why I chose to make certain decisions, and more useful mumbling that you know me for. Rough chapters below but there isn't really straight forward method I follow. Everything depends on another so there's a lot of back and forth, trial and error that ultimately lands us a finished tune that sounds better than when we started. To me, mastering shouldn't be heavy handed - that's the job of a mixdown. Mastering is the final touches, the icing on the cake, what brings out the best of the tune. If you can nail the mix, the mastering process is simple. Speaking of mastering, always looking to take on more production work.
