An active Full Wave Rectifier is analyzed in this circuit analysis video. For more op amp and circuit examples check https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrwXF7N522y4c7c-8KBjrwd7IyaZfWxyt
This full-wave rectifier circuit effectively realizes analog absolute value function and is implemented with two operational amplifiers and two Diodes. One main benefit of this active op amp based design is the negative feedback in the circuit that enables the rectifying operation to not depend on the Diode's forward bias that is varying with temperature and PN junction parameters. The presented circuit analysis utilizes a combination of the op amp virtual short, superposition and Kirchhoff's circuit laws including KCL to show that output analog voltage is the absolute value of the input voltage.
