Result: The resulting shape is a prism or a block, depending on the complexity of the 2D profile. Operations: Extrusions can be used to add material (extrude boss/base) or remove material (extrude cut/hole) from an existing solid body. Fillet A fillet is a feature used to round off sharp exterior or interior corners and edges of a 3D model. What it does: It adds a rounded transition of a specified radius between two intersecting faces or edges. Result: It replaces a sharp corner with a smooth, curved surface. Rib A rib is a thin, flat structure typically used to provide structural support to a part, increasing its strength and rigidity without adding excessive material. What it does: It's a strengthening feature that connects a feature (like a boss or a wall) to a base or another wall. Construction: It's usually created from an open or closed sketch that is extruded up to the next surface, often tapering slightly. Result: It forms a brace or gusset, usually perpendicular to the walls it connects.
