It's spring and that means Galaxy Season for imaging and observing! I thought it would be fun to go through Galaxy Morphological Systems, the Hubble Sequence as developed by Edwin Hubble in 1926 and then the De Vaucouleurs System as developed by Gerard de Vaucouleurs in 1959.
I then use a new took SpaceEngine to show you examples of the diffrent types of galaxies so you can get a feel for them.
