Ensure you Like and Subscribe for more exciting Gamemaker content, or check out https://slyddar.com/ for more info. ** NOTE : 2.3 changes in Gamemaker ** As of August 2020, Gamemaker 2.3 has been released, and has changed the way scripts work. They are now added as functions, and when you create a script you will see a "Declare a New Function" codeblock. The tutorial still works fine, but ensure all code for scripts is added under it's Declare a New Function codeblock, otherwise you will get an error. For a visual description of this change see this post https://forum.yoyogames.com/index.php?threads/dnd-platformer-tutorial-bug.85103/post-508840 In this series I'll show you how you can use Gamemaker Studio 2's Drag and Drop to create a cool looking platformer. Some of the things we'll cover in the series include adding tiles to make it look great, adding enemies which we can jump on, and even adding one way platforms. We also make an animated player character that has an idle, walk and jump animation. In this tutorial we add the horizontal collisions for the player so they can interact with solid objects.
