Gaming Wirelessly? How To
If you are looking to game wirelessly with your Haymakers, Yes it can be done. In this video I talk about how and in the description below you will find instructions on how to make it work and what equipment has worked well for other customers. This is from a customer: " So I ended up getting the Astro mixamp pro tr for the xbox, connected the optical to the tv, then to the mixamp. Got a ground loop connected to the transmitter via auxiliary port, using a splitter I plugged the the transmitter into the headphone Jack and a standalone microphone with an auxiliary connection to the microphone jack. This worked perfectly, I have audiophile wireless audio (every now and again I get static but that's because I can't daisy chain the transmitter via optical) the sound is absolutely amazing. It's like going from basic tv audio to theater audio. The astro mixamp allows for complete customization over the EQ and has some presets. I can just turn my mic on and off when I need too. There is of course a audio quality loss due to it being in the auxiliary port. (When connected straight to the headphones these things can rattle your skull) I'd say it's about a 20% loss, not too much for the convenience. Easily changed by just plugging in the headsets to the mixamp when I want full music quality. The battery life is fantastic, I've tried a full marathon of a 20 hour session with bluetooth (no lights) and was able to keep them running without connection issues the entire time. Every now and again I'll adjust my headsets and accidentally end a call. The lights on the right side are sometimes difficult to turn off. When using ANC mode there is a quality loss in audio at about 15%. Not a big loss for such a great ANC experience. Connectivity to xbox is a pain, for having a headset that is built for PC, mobile, xbox, playstation would be impossible for flawless wireless connection between all devices. (Not your fault at all I know) I notice my ears don't fit entirely inside the ear cups because of my gauges, but I can comfortably wear them for 20 hours at a time with minor adjustments. Overall I'd give these headsets a 4.7 out of 5 Best damn headphones I've owned." ---------------------------------------------- parts list: 1. Astro Mixamp Pro TR (this enables USB audio out) 2. Bluetooth Low Latency transmitter 3. Standalone Microphone (optional) Note: If your using a new xbox series S/X For X-S/X users:Plug the Astro Mixamp Pro TR into your PC (go to the microsoft store on your PC under the apps and download the Astro Command Center, this will enable a firmware update for USB compatibility with the newest console, it MUST be done using the Microsoft store app!) My current setup: Astro Mixamp Pro TR Firmware Version: 36797 Mii B03Pro+ transmitter/receiver + ESS DAC Eiovotor 3.5mm Condensor Microphone. Astro Mixamp Pro TR USB connection to the back of the xbox series X. Optical cable connected from the TV to the Astro Mixamp Pro TR. I'm using a Headphone/Microphone cable splitter on the front headphone auxiliary port on the Astro Mixamp Pro TR. The headphone port is connected to the back of the Mii B03Pro+ via Auxiliary IN. The Eiovotor Microphone is connected to the Microphone port. I haven't tested a 3.5mm aux bluetooth transmitter on the mixamp yet, not sure if it would allow for the headsets to use its microphone or not. I've tried every connection possible with the transmitter and just cannot get the xbox to read I have a microphone while bluetoothing the headsets.
