Earlier this year a kit for a Victorian Railways G42 Garratt locomotive (2-6-0+0-6-2) was received from a fellow modeller after an agreement had been reached to build the model. The target build is 0n30: 1/4" scale narrow gauge (16.5mm track representing 2’6” track). The prototype was built by Beyer Peacock and started its working life in Australia from 1926 and is currently resident at the Puffing Billy preserved railway in Dandenong, Victoria, Australia.
