Day 1 of Vlogmas Cruising is one of those topics in the gay community that everyone knows about, but very few people talk about openly. It carries history, desire, fear & controversy all at once. And because of that, conversations around it can get messy real fast. And while cruising is often associated with gay men, they’re not the only ones who do it. People of all genders and orientations have their own versions of seeking quick, discreet encounters in public or semi-public spaces. It’s a human thing if you ask me. Cruising has been part of queer history for decades sometimes celebrated, sometimes stigmatized, and often misunderstood; But like any cultural practice, it also comes with complexities that are worth talking about honestly. In this video, I’m not here to judge or shame. I’m here to explore: where cruising came from, why it persists, what it offers, and the realities both positive and challenging that surround it today. This isn’t about telling anyone how to live.
