Building on an old idea from woodgears.ca, this GBC module counts the balls being fed into it. The 5 bits are read from left to right with weights 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, where a "1" bit is represented by a locked ball with the rocker tilted right, and a "0" bit is represented by an empty position with the rocker tilted left.
