It started as a pile of gears and 1095 powder with 4 % nickel. 2300 degrees plus 40 tons and BAM!! A homogeneous billet with a awesome pattern that is heat treatable. This is a gift for a friend of mine who is moving to Vegas. The handle is damascus as well that was twisted to make helical striations. I also make a custom locking Kydex sheath.
