Gem Cut Studio Tutorial 10: Changing the Length to Width Ratio

This is the tenth Gem Cut Studio Tutorial by award-winning lapidary, Michael Sackos. Mike has some unique gem rough that he would like to use the cut the “Spellbound” design. However, this particular piece of rough is a little too short for the dimensions of this design. In this video, Mike shows how to use the Scale XY feature of Gem Cut Studio to adjust the length to width radio of an existing gem faceting diagram. In turn, GCS will calculate the new cutting angles and index teeth necessary for the new ratio.
