Sorry for deleting the video :/ But mobile users couldn't see it. But don't worry, it's here again! 8) Thanks for 2700 subs! :D I thought some of you would like it. It's longer than my other videos, so I will leave you a map in the description so you can look for what you want to learn ;) Sorry if I've made some mistakes, my keyboard doesn't go very well and I am not english. Level ID: 37717951 (Free copy) And I haven't tested the level in 60hz so it can have some bugs :/ Video Map: 0:00 - 0:37 Quick explanation 0:37 - 2:03 Looking for a song 1st step: Look for a good song. My advices: play magic levels until you find an interesting song. Also you can look for new music in Newgrounds. I really do both things. I strongly recommend you the Brand Spakin' New Audio section. You can find good material there. 2:03 - 2:32 Listening to the song 2nd step: Start building the layout. My advice: listen the entire song one time. You can start thinking what you're going to build in the start, drop, end. etc. My personal advice: Try to use the speed that syncs better with the actual part of the song. Example: a slow end, -1 or 1, or a fast drop a x3 or a x4. 2:47 - 3:20 Making a 360º cube effect There're two ways to make a gameplay: 1. Do the basic gameplay and then add more deco or 2. Make the gameplay with the extra deco step to step. Way number 1: It takes more time but it's more accurate (Overtime was built like this). Way number 2: It takes less time and it's less accurate (Scorpion was built like this lol). 3:44 - 4:27 Making cube gameplay I also recommend you to make an alpha to make bugfixes invisible. - Cube gameplay: My advice: No unpredictable gameplay. With this I mean orbs or spikes that you can't see because you're falling. You can also put tripletes but dont abuse, try to make variety and play with player sizes. 4:28 - 6:42 Robot gameplay My advice: Same than cube. Play with timing but watch out the bugs (you can jump higher). For the extra deco, use your own style. I commonly use saws and spikes (some floating and others fixed to the floor). And try to use ramps. It's hard to work with ramps but it's funny to have some of them. Extra advice: Play some times just to find bugs and fix them or just to see if your level isn't impossible xD Another great part you can add to your layout is that white orb. If you have done 10 secs of your layout, I recommend you to start adding start pos. Double pads: they're good! In some cases if you don't use them you can have some bugs. 6:43 - 8:01 Wave gameplay My advice: Put correctly the ramps, please. In wave parts you can sync very well if you have some experience. Just make benefit of the clicks and releases. Try to use the clever block "D". It's very useful and you can make very fun parts. You can play with sizes and gravity in the wave part too. It looks so well with a good sync. 8:02 - 9:18 Spider gameplay They're easy to make. It's just sync the clicks making platforms of different heights. 9:19 - 9:56 Ship gameplay My advice: Orbs, a nice straight fly and a creative part. That's all to have a nice ship part. 9:57 - 10:31 Ball gameplay My advice: Dash orbs, pads and use some ramps 10:32 - 10:56 Ufo gameplay You can do a great part if you sync well. Try to make the sync the most accurate you can Try to add a hitter click but dont make it too much hard. 10:57 - Trick for mini cube 11:15 - Switch spider gameplay 12:13 - 12:52 Dual gameplay ;) My advice: Try to make something that no one has done before My personal touch is the x4 speed. Add yours in your layouts. 12:53 - 14:35 Creative wave part 14:36 - 15:20 Vipirin ball gameplay (but without fake blocks) Big saws look very cool too. Dont forget to add one ;D 15:21 - Fast end cube gameplay 15:44 - Layout preview 17:13 - 17:18 Quick end
