In this video, we extend Chaikin's Algorithm for polyline simplification to accept as inputs a set of interpolation points and an initial tangent. Additionally, we explain a way to optimize the tangency to generate the simplest control polygon. This algorithm can be very useful for robotics, path planning or digital fabrication. The algorithms are implemented in C# using Rhino and Grasshopper.
