This cello was built in 2009 by Georgi Markov, a talented Bulgarian luthier we have worked with for many years. The maple chosen for the back, ribs, and neck matches perfectly in figure, and his careful craftsmanship and knowledge of the luthier’s art is apparent throughout the instrument. The cello has a clear and warm voice, and a broad palette of tonal colors. Thank you to Warren Oja Cellist, our Mundelein cello teacher!
