Georgina

In September of 2007, I was invited to play the inaugural Ribfest in Georgina. For me and the 21st Century Binary Backup Band, it felt like a big stage at the time. I remember thinking I should mark the occasion with a song. Somewhere along the way, these lines showed up: Her father’s name was Mike George Her mother’s name was Tima They had a little girl And they called that girl Georgina That was enough to make me laugh… and once that happens, the song usually gets finished. It never really found a home on any of my past releases. Always felt like it was sitting in the wrong room. But playing around with it again, it finally settled into a rockabilly feel—and suddenly it made sense. So this is the first track from the next album. (not the last album that was called "Next" - what was I thinking) Hope you enjoy it.
