I came to Morocco thinking I knew what to expect.
Ancient cities. Desert tones. Crowded markets.
But after traveling across four different cities in just three days, that idea completely changed.
From the streets of Rabat to the snow in Ifrane, from the scale of Casablanca to the energy of Marrakesh, every place felt like a different version of the same country.
So I set out to answer one question.
What is the real Morocco?

Morocco is not one thing. It's Berbers, Arabs, Jews, Africans, and Spanish descendants all living inside the same ancient walls. It's Marrakech refusing to be anything other than red.
Casablanca moving fast in white. Rabat sitting quietly on a throne most tourists don't even know exists.
And through all of it clay buildings, sandstone medinas, tiled courtyards — they kept their culture alive while the whole world modernised around them. I have never seen anything like it with my two eyes.
