I may have become too old to keep editing fictional 16-year-olds.
I think this couple has always stayed with me, even now that I’m approaching my thirties, because their enthusiasm and absolute admiration for each other have always struck me in new ways. Harry realizes he adores Ginny — her humor, her tenacity, her determination. Ginny moves beyond the idealized image she had of Harry and falls in love with a person who has flaws (he's stubborn, sassy and maybe too much independent for his own good). They don’t choose each other because they are similar, but precisely because they accept their mutual differences. They fit because they choose to respect each other’s choices even when they don't see eye to eye. This is the aspect of their characters and relationship that I fell in love with when I was fourteen years old.
P.S. This was really fun to edit, but hellish to render. So if you notice any glitches I'm really sorry, some of them were not intentional.
