Raymond Hudson A.K.A Apache Scratchy was born in St. Mary Jamaica West Indies on July 30-1963. He attended St Mary 's High School in the Parish and was later transferred to Calabar High in Kingston where he graduated. Apache started creating lyrics at an early age and was inspired by two dancehall moguls, Brigadier Jerry (Robert Russell) and Nicodemus (Cecil Wellington). Before the name Apache Scratchy he was known in the dancehall as Scratchy, then he became Prophet Scratchy when he began to DJ for a sound system by the name of King Jamix, but after meeting Nicodemus, he added the Apache to Scratchy and so the name Apache Scratchy was derived.
