I’m off this week, so expect a bunch of videos from me. This is one of the Givenchy ready to wear collections under McQueen that I like for it’s oddness, but outside of the finale looks and the plastic/glass pieces it’s nothing otherworldly. You can see a lot of isms in here from a few different designers of the time, mixed with the look of McQueen for Givenchy. The now McQueen staple of obscure printed fabric converted into suits continues here. The finale is really something else and is very remarkable, I wish that kind of whimsy was still around and less for show and more for art.
