Giyo - Enjinn

Written, performed, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Giyo. Artwork by Giyo. TL;DR - blah blah music blah blah memories. ----------------------------------------------------------- I used to write (but never release) music with a more electronic / dance vibe under the name 'Enjinn'. This was a long time ago now. It was usually quite badly written techno, thankfully none of it is available anywhere but my own hard drives. For a laugh I thought I'd go back to that sound but try to take it more seriously. Many, many years ago I had an obsession with the N64 game Extreme-G 2. I loved the speed, the futuristic look of the worlds / circuits and I also loved the soundtrack. Looking back on it now it seems a little bit dated, but the sense of speed, graphics, and general motion of the game still holds up. The soundtrack's weaker than I remembered it being, but that game had a hold of me for a long time and it reminds me of a certain part of my life when things were simpler and probably a lot happier. Looking back at XG2 has made me remember how competitive me and my brother could be on Goldeneye 007 multiplayer. He could never strafe properly so I kicked his ass all the time. The technique was to hold L or R yellow C buttons while moving, steering into the side step to move faster. Remember that!!?? Ahhhh... the joy of proximity mines. It was around this sort of time he introduced me to Prodigy (Fat Of The Land) for the first time and my life changed forever. Those were probably some of the best times I'll ever have! I called this track Enjinn as a warm hug and homage to the good old days and my love of racing, shootemups and dance music, and the memory of my bro who I miss dearly every day. I hope you enjoy it. If you don't please say so, and I'll be sure to write more just to annoy you ;) I was getting a little bored anyway. It's time to shake things up a bit.
