This is a look inspired by something that Blake Lively (Serena Van Der Woodsen) wore for an award show. Typically, braids are used to only add texture to updos and more formal looks on the red carpet, but this curly haired, half up, half down, fishtail braid managed to appear youthful and glamorous all on its own.
I started with curly hair as shown in my 5 minute wavy curls tutorial, and Blake wore similar effortless looking curls but you are encouraged to adjust the look to your hair type and what you personally prefer. Also, she accessorized with a diamante rose which I do not own and could not find, so I just threw a cute purple bow on, again, I encourage you all to make do with what you already have.
