Welcome to the FES Glow Show We are telling a story to represent traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Sinixt, the Syilx, and the Ktunaxa Peoples, here in beautiful Fruitvale, British Columbia, Canada. We honour the land, the waters, and the generations who have cared for this place for thousands of years. As you enter, you step into the water. The flow of the mighty Columbia River, and the deep, life-giving waters of the Arrow Lakes and Kootenay Lake. These waters connect us all. They carry stories, nourishment, and life. Within them swim the salmon, strong and determined, reminding us of resilience, return, and the vital role each being plays in sustaining the ecosystem. From the water, we arrive upon Turtle Island, the land. The turtle carries teachings of patience, wisdom, and connection. Each turtle shell reflects the rhythm of time: 28 days in a lunar cycle,13 moons in a year. We are reminded that we, too, move in cycles of growth, rest, and renewal. As we journey forward, we enter the forests and meet the winged creatures. Above us, wings carry messages between earth and sky. Around us, forests breathe with life. Moss soft beneath our feet, fungi weaving unseen networks below, and camas blooming in beauty and nourishment. The land is alive with relationship, reciprocity, and care. In the trees, you may notice the crows. Crows are known as bridges — between earth and spirit, between what we see and what we feel. They remind us to look deeper and listen closely. We move onward to the four-legged animals who walk the land and the wide-open sky that holds us all. Together, they represent balance, strength and freedom, grounding, and possibility. At the end of your journey, you will find a mirror. It represents you. You are part of this story. You are part of this ecosystem. You are part of this community. Before you leave, please take a glow bracelet with you — and carry this message of inclusion, connection, and togetherness out into our community. We are all connected under the sun. We all belong. ✨
