Godzilla - DJ Slugo

The iconic "Godzilla Track" also known as "114799". Lots of different versions and remixes of this song exist. This version comes from a Databass/Twilight 76 promo CD featuring tracks by many great Ghetto House and Ghettotech artists from both Chicago and Detroit. Unknown release date. The original track is produced by RP Boo (credited DJ Boo at the time) and first appears on the Slugo record "Born Ghetto - From My Hood To Your Hood" (2001). This CD version sounds only slightly different (cleaner?), but features the same iconic Godzilla Main Title horns sampled in Pharoahe Monch's "Simon Says" and Boo's legendary R-70 snare fills and drum programming. The record label Databass is based out of Detroit. Both DJ Slugo and RP Boo are prolific, respected artists from Chicago and pioneers in the lineage of Ghetto House, Juke, and Chicago Footwork.
