The first clip I saw was her cover of In the End—and I was moved to tears. It wasn’t just music; it was raw emotion, something that mirrored the way PTSD and depression can feel. Then I found My Abyss, and I knew I had stumbled onto something truly special. From that moment, I hit join and became a paid subscriber to my very first YouTuber. The day I received a message from Ayla on Instagram saying, “I put you in my new clip,” I was stunned. She chose Leave Out All the Rest, a tribute to Chester, and seeing my anime character appear alongside his legacy is a feeling I will never forget. That’s why I knew: for this song, for this film clip, my partner needed to be her. 🎵 The Songs of K-Pop Demon Hunters are unlike anything else. “This Is What It Sounds Like” lit a fire in me to push harder, create better, and pour my heart back into music. And yes—before the detectives point it out—this project was produced with the help of AI. I know AI can never replace the soul of a real voice or the magic of live music. But for me, this is a musical journal—a scratchpad where I work through ideas, emotions, and healing. I’ve been playing, singing, and writing since I was 13. This is just the modern version of my old tape recorder and 4-track mixer. Music has always been my therapy. Now, I’m back working with an amazing vocal coach, Hannah at B Sharp Music in Brisbane, and continuing to grow.
