Their main goal is to stabilize other realities, and being forced to work a 9-5 forever drives some people insane, but Alea is mostly bored. The office reminds her of her childhood since she grew up in a lab and never really saw the sky. It's a good thing because it means she adjusts well!! But then she adjusts a little too well and she builds up Euphoria, warping her mind. Her manager encourages this :) it makes her really chill :) When it becomes too much and it reaches the limit, reality warps around her and drags some of her coworkers into her mindscape, where they find different "wrong" versions of herself as children and have to explore endless laboratory halls. All of them say they're the wrong Alea, and it's explained by the first one they meet that the employees need to find the "right" Alea to get out. However, to move forward, they have to keep killing the previous version they encountered. Every Alea is okay with that, but her coworkers are not. Eventually, they find an Alea that doesn't want to die, and it's revealed that the one with the longest hair masterminded everything and is holding the card they need to be able to leave. The first Alea wants to keep finding the Perfect Alea, while the last Alea just wants to end the cycle and be free. The last Alea ends up killing the other version of her, and her coworkers are finally able to leave.
