Goodwater Loop | 2025

This is a 3 day backpacking trip I did in April 2025 near Georgetown, Texas along with my friend Eli of The Adventures of Eli. This was my second time to backpack this trail with the first being in 2023 where I hiked it counterclockwise in 2 days. This time was a clockwise trip. The San Gabriel River Trail, also known as Goodwater Loop, is a 26.9 mile trail along the San Gabriel River and Lake Georgetown. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
