A collegue from work wanted me to take a look at this Google phone which had a screen issue. he said he dropped it flat on the screen from maybe 5-10cm high and the screen just went blank, but everything else worked fine because the alarm kept going off at 5am so he let the battery drain down and put it in a drawer for around a year.
Here is my way to open the phone up and see whats happening, i initially thought it may be the ribbon cable may have dislodged itself somehow.
It does look like it needs a new screen really so he will have to order one and i will fit it in part 2.
