In July and August 2025, I visited Tbilisi, Georgia. While there, I spent some time exploring nearby sites, attractions and towns. On one such occasion, after visiting the Stalin Underground Printing Museum in Tbilisi, presented through very rose colored glasses by two card carrying Communist old men, I decided to take the train out to Gori. Stalin was born in Gori, and there is a museum dedicated to him, built around his childhood home. The museum in Gori, much like the one in Tbilisi is very selective in the information it presents.
