Sprayholes: - Agitate any slurry mixture that would otherwise settle at the bottom of the sump
- Eliminate the need for an external mechanical agitation source
- Create a more uniform slurry mixture
- Keep the pump clean of solids
- Cause particles in the slurry to stay in suspension, allowing the pump to both dewater and pump slurry
