Grad student talk: “Visualizing Group Theory”

Speaker: Connor Lehmacher Date: February 17, 2025 Abstract: A group is one of the basic objects studied by mathematicians, it formalizes the idea of symmetry. I’ve prepared several times tables of groups as a visual introduction to group theory. Visualizations will include cyclic, dihedral, and symmetric groups, subgroups, quotients, and composition series.
