On This tutorial I will show you how to define/create a new LOCATION with its MAPSET. Weill will practice several ways of defining projections with coordinates systems. I will show how start a new project using the sample data provided with the GRASS GIS Installation. (Review tutorial # 1 to find out how to install it) You will learn how to define a GRASS Database and Location Name. You will learn how to choose a projection for your LOCATION. You will learn how to choose your project LOCATION parameters. You will learn how to choose your LOCATION's specify geodetic datum.
