Starting from any closed SubD or mesh model in Rhino 3D, the Grasshopper definition contours the geometry in all three axes, finds intersection points between contour layers, and generates a dense field of box-based elements. The result is a fully voxelised architectural form that can be baked as efficient mesh geometry for rendering, visualisation, or further computational design exploration inside Rhino. The workflow is designed so you can reference in your own geometry, control voxel size, resolution, and overall density, and quickly translate smooth architectural forms into stepped, modular systems. This makes it ideal for parametric architecture, computational form-finding, digital fabrication studies, and conceptual massing workflows. The tutorial reinforces essential Grasshopper fundamentals for architecture, including mesh-based analysis, contouring logic, data organisation, and performance-aware scripting, making it a strong foundation for anyone learning Grasshopper for Rhino or following a structured Grasshopper course focused on architectural voxelisation and generative design workflows.
