Grateful For Gravity

I've wanted to be free I've often wanted to fly to be all by myself way up high in the sky but I guess without gravity I wouldn't stop there I'd float right out of this world there's no limits if I didn't need air I've grown to appreciate gravity I'm really grateful for gravity or else I'd just float on and on Imagine floating all through space never having to stay in one place? I'd spend my whole life exploring I might never find life boring but then would things always stay the same If I never had to stay long in one place If I just floated on and on in space? no one could ever get close My heart would never get broken, but would I still need a heart at all? I've come to appreciate gravity I'm grateful for gravity because without it I'd float on and on Imagine floating endlessly no one would hold my hand very long there'd be nothing Nothing to give us strength we'd never be anywhere at length there'd be no reason to fall in love when there's nothing you can think of to tie us down anywhere I've really come to appreciate gravity I'm so grateful for gravity So I don't float on and on I couldn't imagine a life without love even with all the problems back here on earth I'd rather be on this planet where it rains and I get wet than be floating in space going everywhere and no place So I'm happy not to fly beyond our pink sky they often say "the sky's the limit" And now I understand why we live on land some may want to leave I was some but I was deceived because now I appreciate gravity And I'm really grateful for gravity Imagine if there was none if we all floated on and on it wouldn't matter if there was a world we'd never come together at the same time on the ground if we floated on and on on and on
