Cana encourages her to go talk to him instead of just wishing for him to make the first move. Even though she knows this, her shyness gets the better of her and accepts the fact it's better to love from afar. Before long, Gray starts hanging around Juvia and develops a little crush on her. Lucy, noticing the dreamy look in his eye when being around Juvia, realizes that Gray likes her and ends up heartbroken. Wishing only for Gray's happiness, she backs away and is left to deal with her bottled up feelings alone. It also didn't help that Gray never knew she was in love with him and acted the same way he always did around her, making it harder for Lucy to get over him. One day, Gray was walking by Lucy's house and decided to say hi. She was confused but thoroughly happy (I mean I would be too, he's glowing/sparkly like Edward Cullen o.o) {This part, let's just say Minerva tried to kidnap her after she escaped the games and Gray came through for the rescue x3 And by now his feelings for Juvia have started to disappear} Finally, Lucy gets the courage to confess her feelings. Gray was surprised because to him it seemed sudden and told her that he didn't know the answer right then. Now that she confessed, when they hang out together it feels awkward. Lucy devastated about what she did to their relationship, goes to Natsu to comfort her. Gray notices this and gets mad. He wished he could push Natsu out of the way and be the one holding her instead. Then he realized. He liked her. Why else would he feel this jealousy over someone he liked as just a friend? That same day, Gray went over to Lucy's house after discovering his feelings but was sabotaged by Natsu. He didn't want to tell her when that lame brain idiot was around so he promised himself that he would tell her the next day. That night, he dreamed of when they would have their first kiss.(Just switch out the subs with some romantic confession from Gray, okay? ^w^) They go out on a date. When Gray sees her, he gets embarrassed at how beautiful she looks, and turns his head away and they both look up at the stars.
