Guide to MAC Foundations 2018

That’s what I’m giving you in this video! No disclaimers, no pretense, just content. I’ve included any extra information or helpful links here so if you have any questions, please read on and then enjoy the video! I’ve used MAC foundations for years. I think of them as no-frills, workhorse, get the job done foundations. I know them well and, while I don’t like all of them, MAC makes some of my favorite foundations that I know I can rely on time and time again. Often MAC foundations are split into cool (NC) and warm (NW) undertone categories. What MAC calls “cool” and “warm” is also opposite from most makeup companies so if you’re looking at a MAC foundation and you have blue/pink undertones, you’re going to go for NW shades, whereas if you have yellow/golden undertones, you’re going to be looking at NC shades. One of the biggest mistakes that people make when shopping for foundation is expecting everything they want in one bottle. That’s just not the case. Our bodies change over time. Our skin changes over time. One formula may not work every day, year in and year out. There’s also no way of knowing how your skin will react to something until you try it; the same foundation that doesn’t oxidize on me may oxidize on you.
