Davis is proof that you don't trust Roger Thorpe. Davis was Roger's lawyer and helped him embezzle millions from the Spauldings. He was caught and went to prison for Roger but in return Roger would give him millions when he got out. When that happened Roger went back on his promise due to not having the money. Davis seeked revenge and was killed in the process.
