Guile activating the Crossfire Somersault The Crossfire Somersault (クロスファイアソマーソルト Kurosufaia Somāsoruto?) is one of Guile's Super Arts, "Launch your opponent into the air and follow up with a mighty somersault kick. It has invincibility at the beginning, making it useful as an anti-air attack or as a way to turn the tables on your opponent." —Street Fighter 6 Executed by charging back, then pressing forward, back and forward again and pressing kick, Guile delivers a Flash Kick to his opponent high, kicking them high in the air if it hits. He then fires and an angled Sonic Hurricane that shoots them back up in the air. Guile then leaps up, lands on the opponent, and delivers a second Flash Kick that sends the opponent tumbling in the air before crashing to the ground. When used as a Critical Art - now dubbed Crossfire Double Somersault (クロスファイアダブルソマーソルト Kurosufaia Daburu Somāsoruto?), Guile strikes with the second Flash Kick to the chin with his left foot, then uses the opponent as a platform to finish them off with a third Flash Kick with his right foot. Since this is Guile's Level 3 Super Art, this is his strongest move in his arsenal. Crossfire Somersault is mainly used to end combos and finish off the opponent. He can cancel Crossfire Somersault from his normals, unique attacks, or special moves such as Flash Kick or Sonic Boom. When Guile is down to 25% or less of his health, this move gain an additional boost of damage. He is fully invincible during the startup frames of this move. Even if the opponent blocks, it can inflict a good chunk of provisional damage than may result in a chip KO if the opponent is in blocks the move while in burnout with minimal health. It also has a lengthy cinematic. This allows Guile to recover Drive Gauge while simultaneously draining the opponent's meter during his Super Art. One weird weakness Crossfire Somersault has is that when this move is activated, Guile can be caught by Zangief's Aerial Russian Slam, as Crossfire Somersault puts Guile just high enough where he can get scooped up, which can be a death sentence both for robbing Guile's meter and the match if Guile's health is low enough. This is due to how the two supers have different lengths of invulnerability, with ARS having 17 frames and Crossfire Somersault having 14.
