Guillow Arrow RC Conversion - Part 2 This video covers a second construction of the Guillow Arrow free flight balsa model airplane, and how to convert it to radio control flight. In Part 1, we took the Arrow kit and created a great flying RC model airplane. In this video, we'll take the same kit and incorporate lessons learned in the first build to make an improved second version. Details were added to the model to include a "V" section elevator, larger rudder, forward fuselage balsa deck, wing top fairing and waterslide decals. The second Arrow flew well but came out a half ounce heavier than the first version. Weight is the key with these smaller RC models. I use the ParkZone micro-RC electronics for all of my Guillow conversions and I can confirm that three (3) ounces is about the maximum weight for these types of RC models. Guillows model airplane kits, to include the Guillow Arrow, make great RC conversions. Guillows model airplanes make great indoor RC planes as well. Again, we learn by experimenting with these RC conversions . . . good luck with your Guillow RC model airplane conversions!
