Wood Waste is primarily shredded through a slow-speed shredder. Ferrous metals are removed by magnets and the material enters a hammermill, where it is sized to typically -80mm. Wood fines are removed by oscillating screens. The Haas Tyron is capable of shredding a variety of waste, including wood, railway sleepers, green waste, root balls, MSW, C&I, mattresses and paper rolls, the machine can downsize material to between 150mm and 500mm, depending on tool shaft and configuration.
