.hack QUARANTINE - Tarvos

( Warning: SPOILERS! ) Phase 7: Tarvos, the Avenger Party: Kite, BlackRose, Balmung (all lv. 91) No rest for the wicked! Or our merry band of .hackers, either. *sigh* How much must I dive into that Cruel Vindictive Scars? At least they could choose a prettier map. Tarvos... functionally, he's like Cubia in that he loves to flipflop between physical and magic tolerance. Hauling Wiseman or Mistral instead of Balmung would certainly make the magic-vulnerable parts a lot easier. Oh well. However, while Tarvos may seem like a glorified Cubia, he does have a nasty bite-- not Data Drain or Dek Do (slow), but Cursed Death Play! Auto-hit instant death to the unfortunate victim. (Which, in this case, tends to be Balmung. Ouch.) But that aside, Tarvos is still a weeny compared to, say, Skeith and Macha. Also, as always, Ap Do/Speed Charms are your friends in Phase fights, since those guys zip around hella fast.
