Hacking Metasploitable #1 - exploiting ftp service

In this video i will be showing you how to gain a root shell by exploiting the ftp service that metasploitable is running. I start with checking to see if the machine is up and active, then i run a nmap port scan on the host to find all open/active ports. I then run a more detailed nmap scan on the ftp port to see all the info about it. I end up finding a exploit to gain the shell and i proceed to showing how to do the same thing on metasploit with a built in module.
