Time for Tricos in Michigan is not always met with enthusiasm. These small mayflies are such a big change from big drakes and staying out late that you often have the river to yourself in the morning. Despite it's looks, the hackle stacker is actually a very simple way to create a profile similar to the comparadun with flies smaller than a size sixteen. You can make these flies very realistic by adding mayfly tails and using turkey biots but here I've gone with a little more bling so I can use this as an attractor.
