The 42CrMo4 steel workpiece with tensile strength of 720 N/mm2 is machined within 1 minute 41 seconds. All applications (ramping, drilling, trochoidal milling and slotting) were done by our 12mm dia. Basic Mill. Universality is no problem for the Basic Mill. The workpiece was clamped with a mechanical bench vice. During the milling operation air was blown through the spindle nozzles for cooling.
