The Half Kneeling Cable Press is a nice shoulder friendly pressing exercise. In the half kneeling position we get core/hip stability which comes in handy as we move into split squat and lunge variations.
Up top we get a press that allows for full movement at the shoulder.
If you can picture it, this also mimics the arm motion in the running stride, making it a useful exercise for athletes of all kinds.
The limiting factor with this exercise is core stability, not the strength of the pressing muscles (chest, shoulders, triceps).
