This Cub has no starter or electrical system, so it has to be hand-propped like this for every start. The pilot is an excellent instructor and gave me lessons before I took this on. He also gave me 4 "practice" pulls before the real one - to get the feel of the pull and to make sure the technique was right before the real thing. But of course, we treated the practice pulls as real too - for safety sake.
